Yup thats it, as well that black split is now owned by Gavin.

Most of the other cars owners are still into VW's and some are on here.

Wow!

Was Gavin's oval then painted again sometime after 1992 and turned back into a mostly stock car?

Great to see the early pics... Where is your pink panther on chromed 8's Larry?

Stephan, wasn't quite stocker when I got it, after it was black, a few years later a new owner painted it similar to gulf blue. Sat on an IRS pan until I bought it and put it back on og 53 pan.

From this:

When I went to buy it, he said it's in back barn, we open the door and sweet Jesus!

To this couple days after I got it home, dropping off at blasters:

Gavin, VERY cool.

I see 2 other splits in that barn.   What is happening with those?  I remember you saying that the owner was keeping one of them? ...

Where is your pink panther on chromed 8's Larry? - I think he was on to the RHD Aussie bug by then, the Good old days of the pink were back in the 80's.

I remember when Stackbus and I used to see the pink car and a few others around the cove (Dave's Green car with the salt flat rims, Ov's kawaski green molded and every other mod you could think of - talk about bondo and the guy at windsor who had the Mulholland Look - and then there were those crazy mothers up at cypress)

I still think that Scott's vert was one of the coolest cars around at that time. Is that car still around?

Dave's Green car with the salt flat rims

Was that car a 1975 standard teal in color? If so I purchased it later off of a girl in Aldergrove around 1988 or so. That was my first beetle.

No, the car was a dark metalic green and it had an antenna on the left rear tail light housing.

The car with the local motion stickers - Was that Martin Brown's old car. It looks a lot like it. I wonder how many of the WC cars at that show had white oakley stickers across the front windshield?

Dave Goodmans car was a Euro 68(metal dash, disc brakes), 1776 w. 44 IDFs that ran 16.3 at SIR in 86. My 67 was 55 Chev coral BTW, and had white 5 spokes, 1776 w. 40 Dells. That car was sold by about 89, then I built the Aussie 64 RHD(featured in VW Trends in 91). Then it was the Java green 67..I miss that one, all stock except for chromies and ride height.Rock solid Washington car. I think the drummer from Nickelback has that car as I sold it to his father to fund the 67 I own today.

Stephan - the 51 on the left is Dave's and he was keeping it. The 50 on the right is his body guy. They were all just stored together. HellGTi - hopefully the work you did on my 53 wasn't bodywork... That 3/8\" of bondo in sections still brings back nightmares.

Larry - coral is the new pink...

nope, no body work.  just mechanical.  i remember the front drivers side right under the hood was in rough shape already when I was working for Dave.  This was around '96-'97.
