The Heb Rod is the culmination of a vision and thousands of hours of work by Geoff Peterson of Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. After it's debut at the 2006 VW Classic in Irvine, California in June 2006, public reaction both within the culture of Volkswagen enthusiasts and among established celebrity car builders has proven Peterson's skill as an up-and-coming stylist and fabricator. With several different 1960s Volkswagen Beetles as donor cars, the Heb Rod was crafted into Geoff's vision of what a hot rod Volkswagen could be. With styling cues from the ultra-rare coachbuilt Hebmüller cabriolets of the late 1940s and the dry-lakes roadsters of the 1950s, the result is a stunning blend of Teutonic elegance and the ground-pounding aggressiveness of American hot rod "kulture". Starting with what was an idea and a few junk cars, the Heb Rod came together slowly over many months and Geoff was able to develop and hone his skill in every area of design and fabrication.
