Lowered the price...Just about to put this away for winter... Anyone interested?
Original 1965 Deluxe Sunroof Beetle, body and pan are very dry and in amazing shape, a numbers matching car with birth certificate and letter confirming build dates and options  from the Wolfsburg museum, Original  1200cc 40hp appears untouched...engine runs beautifully, and aircares easily each year, 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly, Brakes and clutch are excellent, spent $1000 on front end bushings and steering recently so the steering feels like factory new, Body is dry and solid, untouched, Chrome shines, all body panels are great and everything works as it should including non-leaking sunroof. Understandably the original Ruby red paint has some patina after all of this time, interior in excellent shape, overall amazing condition for a 48 year old car!

Nice car, the photo shows a 1300 cc badge, that would make it a 1966, as 65 had a 1200 cc engine

Very true... If it was a '66... but it is a genuine 1200cc and a 1965...not sure who changed the 1300 badge that was on the decklid when Richard had it to the 'correct" 1200 badge...the engine number is corresponding to a 1200 build consistent with the car build date according to the letter from Wolfsburg Museum.

I changed it out for the 1200 badge that I got off of a 66 Canadian Standard beetle when I still had it. The decklid has been replaced with 66 decklid at some point. Same correct decklid aside from the badge. Did you end up getting  a hold of the previous owners to confirm the mileage?
