Look what I found
« on: June 05, 2012, 09:35:59 PM »
I've just managed to drag this home from Cawston BC after a couple of years of negotiations.

Its been parked since 86, when the tranny was replaced but the engine never went back in.
Despite the trees growing round it the gutters are still in perfect shape.

The owner wouldn't sell it as she had conceived her children in it. Nice. But now, they have kids of their own but aren't interested in the bus at all, so she let it go.
Came with free mouse crap, but the headliner is sweet.

Tires wouldn't hold air for some reason, so put the winters from my 65 on it and it rolled pretty easy.

Job done.

Mission accomplished.

Snatched from under his nose. No progress on the other bus, as I've been swamped with work or sick since the blossom run. Maybe next week.

Cheers, its a 66. I'ts not too bad at all, loading floor is good, just some patches needed on the cab floor, inner and outer sills and some jacking points. Probably a battery tray. The usual.

Dammit...I knew EXACTLY where that bus was, and I have tried to buy it of and on for the better part of 10 years.

Oh well,  I figured that when I move to Osoyoos, I would be able to pester/talk her out of it...

Good job and hope you enjoy it!
