Wiper Motor Parks On The Wrong Side?
« on: August 13, 2004, 01:13:52 PM »
On my 66, I'm not sure if it's just me, but the wipers park on the wrong side?  I belive they are supposed to park towards the driver, no?  But mine park towards the passenger.  Which means my wiper arms are sticking pretty much straight up.

Can you adjust the rest position on the motor?

The wipers on my '67 park pointing towards the passenger side. When they park, they lie horizontally against the window rubber. The wipers on my oval park pointing towards the drivers side.

My 68 fastback parks the wipers on the driver side. I don't know if this may help, but is there any way the positive/negative are backwards? making the wipers start/stop in the wrong zone? probably isn't the problem, how about the motor/unit out of a different car?

The park positions changed for the 1965 year, I believe.  Before that, they parked on the driver's side.  Perhaps my car at one point had the wiper motor changed???
