what is the compression for a 1600 d/p engine? Don't know anything about motors could use some help.It doesn't seem to have much power to go up hills,I thought maybe it is getting old.Could the tranny be part of the problem?

I am not an expert but, max. I think is 130-125 and anything under 100 would start to get weak.

You can get better information if you post more specific information about the engine (i.e distributor, muffler, carb, last tune-up, timming, etc.
