Title: car horn

having some trouble with my horn , on my 1969  manx dune buggy
everytime i turn the streering wheel  right , the horn starts  going off , any suggestions ?

horn wire in steering column is shorting out

Assuming you are using the steering column from a 69 Bug, the trouble is in the way the steering wheel interacts with the column.  If you take the wheel off, you will see 2 brass leaf springs that are supposed to contact the steering wheel so that the horn button can ground them out.  My guess is they are finding their ground through some other part of the steering wheel.  Have a look.

disconnect horn and use finger! :P lol_hitting
