Kinda a cross post from kaferkraft, but I really want some input on this.  Looking to swap my fiberglass buckets out for something more pimpin'!

Thinking Wolfsburg eddition MK3 cloth seats in black and charcoal, or MK2/MK3 Leather.  Even Rocco Leather.

Any tips/advice/warnings????  I have some cool ideas on what to do with this.

Also planning to run 4points with it.  Can't decide if I should anchor the belts on a bar between the B-pillars or a bar in the back of passanger seats.

Most seats are fairly easy to adapt, There are adapter mounts that you can buy to make some instalation smoother but for most you will need a set of stock seats and the new ones. You can weld the two together so they just slide on using the stock floor pan sliders (i have done a few honda and VW seats this way. A lot of the later seats (GM and other domestic) use a seat that just has 4 legs and bolt to the floor making instal a snap (many have power, even better)

As for the seatbelts, If your doing some type of racing you may want to read the rules as there could be something that states how they should be mounted.

Thanks Geof, I'll look into the AutoX rules.  As for the seats I'm hoping to keep the adjustablity of the newer seats so I think I will try to bolt it to the floor pan.  You say there are adapters? Where can I look at these in greater detail?  Otherwise I was planning on fabing up a couple sets of plates, and bolting the seat to one set then sandwitching the floor pan between the two.  Is this something you've done before?

And after you find these wonderful seats that fit in your bug and how you made them fit please let me know. If I have to spend another season in the vert with the spring in my ass I think I will never go to an American show again.

Is the Baja at the Shop?  I sure would like to take a look!  I'll be running around Saturday, I'd also still like to get the carbs tuned-up for Aircare.

My baja is at the house, Jim's is here but his has the GM style seats that bolt to the floor.
I may bring the Baja to work next week or you could drop by my place to see them.
