Slicks Or Recaps

Hi guys, does anybody know,(or have for that matter) where i can get a set of those recapped slicks? if so how much ?

We do not know of anyone at this time who can re capp the slicks. Caldwell used to do all our tires but have since stopped. Keep looking and let us know if you find someone.

no problem,but could be tough,i guess there isn't a huge calling for automotive, you know mainly  truck tires. but  i ll let you guys know if i find someone [_[

Maybe John/ Hashim's in bakersfield will have a DOT slick sometime in the future.  He knows theres a market out there. lets hope he does something about it. Recaps commonly have cracked sidewalls but that the way it is. I wish I had a set of DOT's.

As Geoff said no recaps to be found. As for new DOT slicks John @ M&H has been asking individuals and people on the other forums what tires sizes would be desireable in the Vdub market. I'm crossin my fingers 'cause I'd like a set of DOT M&H's for the street too.

A sticky reasonably priced set of radials would be the Yokohama ES100 which is available in 215/60/15.  Silica composite compound rubber is the latest in sticky radials these days.
