No, the plug is not rotten on the inside. Ive taken eveything apart ( my other mistake) . I wanted to do away with the adapter and got the male/female plugs then I started to wire everything up but Im going from a 7 prong to a 5 prong. So, were does the other wire fuckin go? I spent 2 days on this Im at my wits end.  I have beer and anything else you might want. If not I can get it. ;)

The 7 pin has seperate wires for signal and brake.  The 5 pin shares the same wire.  Without looking at it I would guess that there is a box that is part of this configuration??  The box contains diodes required to prevent both signal lights from flashing when you are signalling.  I can draw it out if you like.  I done this a hundred times.

Let me know.....

Hey Russ, no, I havnt gotten the wiring working yet. I had a friend over and he went through the whole car/trailer and the problem right now seems to be the trailer relay inside the vehicle. Now, we just got to figure out which relay (there are 3 of them bastards) is bugered.

A quick trip to Radio shack and a couple bucks later and you will be fixed.  Let me know I have the made several of the systems from scratch.  I think I even have the drawings on my puter.  I worked on Million Dollar Coaches making these damn things work for everything from Escalades to CRV's to triple axle trailers.
