So true.
Body and paint guys for decent work costs good money. Trying to find a decent one locally can be interesting.

To get a decent paint job you gotta pay to play sadly. Good luck in your paint quest.
Some well renowned shops on this board are...
Slammedbus(Moonlight restos)
and Rudy Feeg.

And if your really patient email me and maybe I can hook you up with my man with barn.

Sorry i keep posting the same question but I really would love to get my car on the road it is the first volkswagen beetle i have ever owned! People say you get addicted fast and belive me I have.

And yes I agree with no one wanting to work on our cars and i think the other reason is because they know how addicted we all are and if they screw up our cars... well lets just say i will be one very unhappy girl!

See, here's my take on this.

In one post you wanted a cheap, good, reliable body guy, yet you expect the outcome to be perfect because you're obsessed with your car and if anything should happen to take the project sideways your going to be an \"unhappy girl\". Perfection comes with cost, you get what you pay for. If you want cheap, it will look cheap and you will not be happy. If you want your car to not end up screwed up, save your nickels and dimes, take out a loan, borrow some money, and stop by and see one of the places already recommended. If you want to save money, take it to Maaco.

Anyone know of a hack :) on the North Shore who can fix my battery area to get through provincial inspection, then have the ability to get out to Stephan for the real thing. I hate to do things twice, but the towing from N.Van with permits or not is daunting.
thx
