Complete Newbie
« on: August 21, 2017, 08:23:31 PM »
Hi everyone,

So I have started to look whats out there for a Bay Window Westfalia for my wife.  These are her absolute favorite vehicle and she talks about them often.
So my idea is to start looking for one possibly for her 40th Bday in a few years.  I know next to nothing about them other than there are some amazing ones that people have redone and they can get very pricey.
So to start I am curious where to look for one that is fully functional  and not a major project but does not have to be a show stopper. From what I have seen I think we will need to stay with the 70's buses as i would prefer to stay umder the $20K if possible
We are in Maple Ridge BC  so any advice on reliable shops or companies to look at or some places to avoid would be much appreciated
I have checked out Craigslist, Ebay, Samba, Crank Crank Vroom and also seen places that can import as well.
Not really sure where to start yet

Thanks
