Oversized Type 1 Engine Tin?
« on: September 06, 2003, 01:20:00 PM »
Comming up on the end of this build I found the stock tin was extreamly hard to get to fit properly arround the larger pots and new heads...  does anyone make slightly larger tin sets for Type 1 builds... or do you have to just stretch and bend the stock size til she fits well enough?

Just fer my future reference ; ]
Thanks

there are MANY little tricks to fit tin onto a phat engine and into a street car. Just what is yours like? barrel spacers, welded heads/manis? expound, and you'll  get a few tips.

Well its now a 1777 cc now with the larger pots and pistons...  has dual Kadrons.

The Kadrons are what are really giving me a problem now that I am trying to shoe horn her in... I may have to drill a hole in the stainless steel I have wrapped arround the engine compartment just to get the right hand side carb to go to full throttle now, otherwise the accelerator pump hits the side of the engine compartment.
