69 0r 70 beetle, 81,000 miles
http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/cto/4988134279.html

neat! if that car is as clean underneath as it is up top and the owner has the documentation to back up the mileage/ownership/shipping/maintenance/etc...then thats pretty decent, imho!

and if that's the year of car you wanted, you'd have to wait a long time to find a nicer one (from the pics) at a cheap price. You'd find a less expensive one easily, but have to drop $5k in bodywork just to start.... yet it might be a tough sale still. Those cars still haven't hit the frenzy yet for some reason. Had a 68 and 69, and although the look wasn't as nice as a <67, the ride was nicer

That's 81,000 km folks.  Check the pic of the speedo.  Wonder if the German 70 deluxe got the IRS trans like the ones over here.  Pretty nice it seems.  Would be hard to do one up properly for that price.  My 73 standard is in need of some work as It has had a hard life sitting outside for most of the last 20 yrs. Wouldn't be hard to put 5 thou into a full exterior redo. Mine has 64,000 miles. Hope someone goes for a look.

I,m told a stock 1600. It is interesting. Don't know the car but recall it selling for ridiculously cheap for cost into it. Wonder if it still has the rancho trans?. Looks nice......... too bad it did not work out for dad/son project.

Looks like a really "polished" job. Rest O car looks clean to mint. Has a strange attraction....... I think I like it?

Double Cab in Maple Ridge. It runs and drives. If you didn't want to totally restore it you could drive it for now with a little work. I had a look at it.  A lot better than most I have seen and the price is much lower now.  Someone should grab this before it goes south.

Well just get over here and get it.  European model?  Must be a catch or a typo in the price.

I'd be taking a day off from work for that deal!!

PS:  ad is on Kijiji.  Seller has a Eurovan westy for sale as well with a phone#:  604-317-8489

I know a few people who emailed and called earlier today... I'm sure it sold quick.
