How did that car get approved for collector plates?

Old Cal Look in Spokane

http://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/4279677992.html

The ad says '66 and I see a couple of things that look '65-66ish (dash, seats), but both the front hood and rear deck lid (and aprons) are later, Late style bumper holes and tail lights, late style door interior lock knobs....

'73 and up actually. Gas flap has the finger recess which was introduced in 73.

My guess is either a) the front clip has been replaced or b) the crescent vents have been welded up in the rear. Likelyhood is a, since it takes some work to smooth out the crescent vent stampings.

Not mine,
But I did buy a parts bus from the owner. She was really nice to deal with.
I also helped her replace the windshield in the bus being advertised so I got a pretty good look at it.

My thoughts on it:
The bus is very solid rust wise, but it does have some significant dents and scrapes. I think it is a 1.7 (maybe 1.8?) type 4, because it has a manual fuel pump. I believe the tires are reinforced sidewall commercial grade and in good shape. I never saw it running, but I would believe her to be honest, if not the most knowledgable. She bought it from a friend who is a ACVW guy.

I think the advertised price is too high, but it is so rare to see a bus with such little rust (her pictures don't do it justice) so I'd say it's worth a look if you are looking for a "rust free" bay.

Let me know if you have any questions.

That's just wrong , I hope the seller of the car steps up and confesses what's really wrong with the car. Can you post the link to eBay so we can all ask questions ?

The 65 vert that Dave looked at and was posted on eBay has now been re-posted.  Apparently the buyer was a flake.... hmmm  He might have that backwards?
