What a weekend, we just got home a while ago with a new door for the bus and some goodies for the notch, a little dissapointed with the swap (the really good deals keep eluding me) but the rest of the weekend was great. I'm not gonna mention times yet but Jims car...holy crap!! I'll let him tell all of you that missed it. and of course Brian and his Ghia, congrats. I think the best score for me will be the lobster like effect on my skin...It was frickin hot!! mullet pics are coming :mullet:

Great weekend! Good weather and cool cars, what more could you ask for. Finally found a roof rack for the 62. Don't know if I would call it a killer deal but I wanted an OG one so I'm happy.  :D
Got about 30 mins of racing footage (I didn't get any mullets though, were they all in hiding?) I'll burn a tape and drop it off at Airspeed.

Let's see, there was baby mullet held by papa mullet, baby had the broken arm............

There was the blond mullet pushing the stroller, baby too young for hair yet..............

And then there was grand dad gray mullet..........

The weather was hot enough that many mullets were camo'd as pony tails.......

Shooting mullets is like a cross between skeet shooting and snipe hunting.........

Not sure any of the shots came out, but I'll see as soon as the slide film comes back.

The hunt is still on, next the Great Canadian.......

I think he ran it at 14psi and never had a full out pass so it should go a little better.
Wanted to thank everyone for helping get the flyers down to the show.Thank you  Matt and Jen for changing all the dates and sorry to hear you were both strip searched (Matt did have a glow about him)

Thanks everyone.

Jim really needs to richen up his carb, almost to the point of fouling the plugs, Turbo's really like it and it will make much more power.  Exhaust showed it had proper combustion with light grey, but airfuel ratio is still around 13.5-14.    He would do best at 12.7 with a turbo.

I used to have a carbed Turbo sprint with custom turbo, and many one off parts, heavily modified block and heads, and ran 17:1 boost.

I grew up around people allways trying to push the performance envelope.

HE NEEDS MORE FUEL ....guaranteed!!!

It was Wayyyyyyyy too hot. I'm so sunburnt from riding around with the top down in the vert ;p We partied too hard on Friday night and got so overcooked at vintage meet that by the time bug nationals rolled around we were totall bugged out. Where was everybody? I saw some people's cars but the only people I ran into were Shane and Kevin. I tried to watch some of the drags but we couldn't find a place to sit in the shade so I couldn't sit there very long. But luckily I saw some BC people race, so that was cool.

My highlight of the weekend was driving Lora's squareback down the 405 doing 85 miles in search of Tequila on Saturday night. I think Mike and I are considering adding a type 3 to our collection (that will make 16 aircoolers in the front yard) Those things are soooo cool.

Did anyone see that white 63 for sale with bc plates in the swap on Sunday. I was just like damn where was this thing before we went to Cali and went through this whole import/inspection thing. That is without a doubt the most solid BC bug I've seen for sale yet.

Hey Kevin,
Jim went easy because he did not have the correct gross jet, the one he has is a little small and when the fuel psi is turned up it floods the carb.
Still waiting on the correct part and once that arrives, look out!
