Have you had any thoughts about a roof?

I have a sandrail that has a similar rollbar layout and was looking for some ideas for a roof and possibly side curtains to extend the season and be able to run around on the street.

I have done a few searches and haven't found too much.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks.

at first I thougt about a fiberglass roof and it is still an option that I am toying with, But if I build it I would have to make doors, add a gas heater, defrost fans and I havent seen a manx type car with a full roof that looks good ,it was never desinged to have one and allways looks out of place.  I have also thought about just making a fiberglass top or having a soft top made without side panels.I am leaning twards the soft top because it will be easy to bring with and put up if I get caught in a rain storm as for heat I will just dress warm.I have started designing another car it looks alot like the new toyota land cruser this one will have doors and a roof with heat based on the same pan as this car so this one may be for sale. This one was just practice.

Here is what I am working with.  Ideally I would like some form of soft top for summer use and a partial hard top with side curtains for winter.  I have lots of room for heater etc (gas or engine), just have to do the plumbing.  In future, a roof rack will be going from the front roll bar to somewhere around the rear of the storage box.

Have you ever seen an Empi Sportster?  If you use a T3 engine or Bay van engine you can have a small pickup bed in the back.  A fellow I know, built one many years ago.  I think it still exists in S. Langley.

I am finished the wireing and am instaling the fuel tank .It is a 74 tank it is bigger so I had to modify the front for hood clearance.I still used the 5/8 bypass and vented it with 3/16 metal line .Some brass fittings and all marine fuel lines .I did order a rubber 2" 90 and filler cap from a company caled BAT in florida http://www.batinc.net/main.htm after I was done and installed the hood I filled the tank and it all worked perfict not slow like everyone complains about I did fire it up but had no time left today to get it running good it just wont idle yet wife wanted me home and I got alot done today

a bikini style top its called
just from the wind sheild to the roll bar. there cheap too

i an one on my manx it worked great, but if its heavy rain the water gets throw up of the front tires and sprays the inside of the windseild from the sides. maybe a little deflector on the sides of the windsheild would solve that, they do make them.
