Found out yesterday that my guy to do the sandblasting is booked solid and I can't get it done for about 2 weeks now. I also went thru my inventory for the engine and found I needed some more stuff. Cip is sold out on certain things so I'm going to have to put an order in from the states. I'm planning  a trip to Sacro with the boys in a couple weeks and Gordo and I are going to the Classic show in June so I might pick up some stuff there also. I want to run a 36hp fan shrowd but I have a Berg linkage and so I hope to get a different style like a csp or a new Jay Cee model.

Is the 36/berg set up a personal thing, or does it not work together?

That combo sounds very familiar! Only thing diff with my motor is CE heads, FK46 cam and 51.5 carbs! She's gonna rip man, I love my 2332!! I have the Jacee linkage its in my opinion the nicest linkage out there.....so smooth and stealth!

I went on Samba and looked at what people were running for linkage for either the doghouse or the 36hp shroud and I noticed a lot of berg/36hp . But I don't want the bulky doghouse with heater outlets due to access to the 48 Ida's and I have a scat 36hp with a doghouse cooler anyways. I'm going to put the berg linkage on the single cab motor down the road and pick up a Jaycee linkage when I'm down in California. When you do the research you will find that the internal vanes in either cooling styles are the same. But you just can't block the outlets of a heater style because that will cause airflow disturbance. You will still need to add a relieve hole or cut and modify the heater outlets. So what do you really gain??? What is very important is the attaching cooling tin that rides underneath like the sleds and such.

I decided to flip the pan and start cleaning it up myself. I am only going to show major steps in this section of the forum. If you want to see the other building progress then you will have to check out the other build sections such as
Scruffy's engine
Scruffy's bodywork
Scruffy's suspension and brakes.
If you don't see it then I haven't got there yet...
