1959 beetle convertible project
« on: December 05, 2016, 12:11:06 AM »
1959 beetle convertible.  I bought in this shape as a project and have 3 others in the works and won't get to it

No engine

Completely sandblasted and crossbraced to pull shell off  pan to repair pan halves  It also has rusty rear quarters and I have 2 beetle quarters cut from other 59 sedans.  Has complete top assembly fenders convertible deck lid and 4 tab hood. Seat frames are here but rusty no door panels. All the windows and parts ad pieces are with the car in totes.  I bought it this way all I did in 2 years was weld in the support structure so I could put on the rotisserie
The window frames are all there but will need rechroming. Also has dropped spindles on the car has bumpers with overriders.

I have 2 new orange metal pan halves from cip1 that I purchased for it that can go with it for an extra $400
