Title: Vintage Speed Exhaust
Post by: Thomas on November 16, 2015, 07:46:57 PM
Anyone else running the Vintage Speed Exhaust having trouble getting the exhaust gaskets to seal they supply. Not sure if I should try running some sealer with the stock gaskets or try different gasket materials. Thanks Thomas

if i remember a fibre type gaskets? if so this may help.
not sure how thick or flat the flanges are ,hopefully ok.
as well trial fit with system bolted directly flat up agains heads without gaskets ,if it doesnt fit perfect without binding or tension it will always leak no mater what.
in the end im using copper gaskets with a thin film of high temp rtv ,never a issue

That's weird.  Mine fit perfectly on my engine. I've even taken it off and on constantly using the same gaskets.  Never a problem.  Great exaust by the way.  I find it worth it. I've been through those empi ones at least 1 a year.  This one is perfect

Use the CB performace graphite ones. No leaky!
