Matching patina'd paint
« on: July 29, 2015, 09:37:19 AM »
Hey guys,

Looking for someone who might be able to repair a missing section of paint from the side panel of my girlfriends fastback. We would like to retain as much of the original paint as possible, and try to blend in the new paint/repair, that would cover up this section behind the passenger door. It's VW Blue L633 and buffs up quite nice for 49 year old paint.

Any leads for skilled painters greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much!

you can do this yourself! rattle can a few coats of light grey in the area first. then the next day put one coat of a blue thats half close over it. then the day after that take some 1000grit wet or dry and wet sand the blue till the grey just starts to show. presto ! instant patina
