Hi Lanny, hope it all works out!
If I could only get the rear brake issue solved for my 65 beetle!
What's your opinion on rear discs?, cost to install with painting parts?

What's the issue? I'm not a big fan of AC VW rear discs. Mainly due to the majority of the kits being a joke quality wise.  Dodgy e brake setups, constant spongy low pedal. Master cylinder mis matches.
I'm assuming you have a wide 5 disc kit up front?
