Hey Silas,

What are the specs on your beam? Did you end up with alignment issues from the top shock tower mount to lower mount? Does that make sense?

Pan/Car looks great!!

hey mike...thanks!!

i'm pretty happy with the way the chassis turned out & it's holding up well! the rest of the car is kinda turd-like  ;), but it's mechanically sound & that's what i'm after!!

specs are as follows....2" narrowed beam with custom shock towers (all new material except for the use of og beam mounts), sway away adjusters, narrowed torsion bars & bugpack bushings built by dirtydeeds (derrick). i drilled & tapped holes and installed the grease zerks and narrowed the tie-rods. i also swapped out the allen head bolts that locate the adjusters to the torsion bars with a regular 6 point head bolt for ease of access (thanks to chris w. for the heads up). 2" narrowed sway bar. billet aluminum steering damper mount. 135's on stock 4x15 smoothies. no body mods or headlight bucket mods.

no alignment issues with the shock from the top to the bottom mount. it's close, and the shock is at a bit of an angle, but it clears & works. i put a washer on either side of the shock bushing (top & bottom) and sourced out some new top mounting bolts with correct grade & shoulder.

car rides pretty good and tracks well.

derrick builds top shelf s#!t and i highly reccomend his work!

Takes some getting used to. Silas was getting the hang of it.

Here's another short video of it. Front wheels come off the ground frequently so steering brakes (2 e-brakes - 1 for each side like a buggy) seem to be the main steering for it. Definitely takes some getting used to.

just in case you or anyone else missed it...there were some good times had by all at the Zündfolge Car Club camp during the 2012 gcvws...

and then the last ride of the season before insurance expires and winter hibernation begins...

some things to look forward too include jims new powerplant for the wok...

plus...lots more cool stuff coming down the pipe for the off season and onwards into 2013...stay tuned!!
