Need some help everyone, I got a crankshaft and flywheel from a friend but not sure what there are? The crank and flywheel are both 8-dowel but can I just measure them to find out what size they are? And if so which parts do I measure.

I was wondering the same thing, I know a guy with a brand new crank stamped both 82 and 84 with some strange looking rods, with really smooth rod caps. they were bought at clyde's buggies in the 80's.
Could sit it in half the case and measure off something clamped to it at top and bottom dead center.
