the show was great, for my first year, i thought the turn out was huge. i cant wait for next year when my car will be done, and i can enter it into the show. i wish i would have bought the chopped beetle with the roll cage going for 1500. however i was able to pick up some new door panels to replaced my old ones, cause i botched my stereo install. and i also picked up some new lap belts...just wish i could have stayed longer than an hour.

I was only able to attend on Sunday. My wife's first big VW show. She liked it alot.

The best part of the show for me was scoring a pair of nos 67 only beetle fenders. They will look great on my 67.

Coolest car I thought was that slammed 62-63 Og paint green bug from Victoria !
Hats off ! that's one cool Old school bug !

Coolest bus was the slammed early single cab from Oregon ! That thing was so cool.

Next year I will have the 67 there. It hasn't been there for 3 years !

My knuckles love it ,when I break a Rusty Bolt !!!!!

i have allways liked pat's single cab from oregon.
i really liked the 58 ghia vert though owned by a Mike from surrey?
one of the nicest there i thought.
mike's 56 or 57 vert was killer looking as well loved the unrestored origianlity of it all.

i found a few type 1's that i liked, but the type 2's were the ones really catching my eye.

the og, untouched 57 vert was so nice. 37k original miles i think.

the patina-ed single cab w/ empi sprintstars that was from oregon was the nicest of the weekend. hands down. he had a buddy w/ a nice slammed 58 bug. met them briefly.

another nice patin-ed single cab on smoothies that was parked by the mighty 45's track was nice as well.

this early split panel w/ 23 window roof grafted in was cool. i remembered reading a small article in ultravw about the owner, john. he was on a major road trip from cali. he had hit the island and whistler and was enjoying the sites of bc w/ another buddy of his named graig from england. i talked w/ those guys for awhile and gave them the friendly bc welcoming they deserve. they were diggin the show.
