HVW's 2010 GCVWS Coverage (or lack of coverage)

Anyone else see the little blurb about the GCVWS in March's issue? Page 36, I know it rained but I was expecting a little more. Too bad.

Absolutely horrible coverage  :(.  Especially since Deano came all this way to cover the event. 

Not enough DVKK cars out I guess  ::)!

He also said a small picture of my Gaunch launcher was going to be in it.  I have to wait till Early Feb to see a copy on the news stand though unless if someone wants to post a picture for me

I don't think that there is a pic of the Gaunch Launcher, not that I saw anyways. I do believe that I can see DarrenE and Stefan in one shot tho.

Thats too bad, Dean spoke to me on the phone, and e-mail'd saying there was going to be a picture of it in the mag which was in production right then too.  Ohwell, must not have worked out then.  Bummer, I only told everyone I have bumped into since then.

Someone had asked me today about the coverage, and I was kind of stumped as I remember seeing it, but had to go back and check again as I really didn't remember what it was like, (obviously it wasn't inspiring)..... ah, now I remember, it's disappointing to say the least :(

i agree! and while i'm happy that the SMC & bruce & kevin got some print, the bbq at AVR was awesome and the amount of cars in the pits and on the track on friday night was impressive and could have easily filled a page or 2. plus the whole "submarine" show mention is linda lame, imho.

 :o Wow I think they could have come up with a few more good shots , Kens Barndoor ? ,Boston pizza inside , Drag racing  Well even though it rained I had a good time Thanks to the  DVKK Considering past years coverage a little dissapointed  :(

I swore Alex drives a Golf not a Jetta, oh well, atleast they put a picture in of a fastback and a row of Karmann Ghias.

So when is that ultra VW's coming to chapters thought that I could scoop one yesterday but it's not there yet. Not that I'm getting anxious or anything!
