Pud's Double Door
« on: October 20, 2016, 12:08:02 PM »
Well first time I seen this DD was in 1985 at Pud's Autowreckers in Osoyoos BC it had a few cars on top of it and the inside was half full of Alternators. I picked this up a few weeks ago and found out its a 1956 DD and its in really good shape, Pud never let anyone in his yard to even look around so not many items were stripped off of it. Future plans are to replace some metal ,clean up the sign writing and get her back on the road..stay tuned!

Those IGA logos are gonna be sweet! What month 56 is it? Funny it has a Wolfsburg front bumper and (seamed) decklid but no round cradle or flat air intake....

this is the bus where alot of my rare parts came from, All the parts that the vw guys would try to steal in tool boxes and stuff they would throw over the fence got put into this bus, so years ago i went up and parted 10 buses out, and found this bus full of items, did not even know what they were, turned up with heart tails, empi steering wheels, ect ect ect
went to the canadian and poeple jumped all over my stuff from that bus, even had a few poeple stealing items that others had purchased and put down, Geoff had to go chase some guys down, nuts crazy stuff
To make is worse, and lucky, i bought the front nose off that bus!!! in the deal, but had to make the second trip, ended up not getting back up to the yard that year, kinda forgot about it!!! good thing too cause i would have killed that thing with a sawzall and chopsaw!!
