Vintage Speed
« on: November 07, 2012, 12:56:13 PM »
I bought a set of their bumper mounts for a front license plate. Shipping was quick enough, but the quality with deep scratches on the units were so, so. I asked for another set and was told that they would rather just provide a refund  since they are quite confident in their quality control. (I guess the photos didn't convince them that the polishing scuffs and scratches were out of the ordinary) They said the didn't want to take the risk of sending another set that might again disappoint me. My only disappointment was that they wouldn't make the effort to send me better set. I've decided to keep them, as there aren't many options other than to drill a hole in my front bumper...

Wow,

that's the exact opposite of the experience I had with my exhaust system orders.

ordered them out of the states, and they came directly from Taiwan. The people in the states were good, and said they'd try to order a set to have as stock, but said they were similar to what I received.
Not a lot of choice other than to make my own. They're not going to really be seen anyway. ;(

Not sure if this helps, but Concept 1 in Calgary carries Vintage Speed products...might be more convenient than ordering from the USA.

I'd have ordered from AVR if I'd thought they sold them! Not really a vendor problem, more the supplier as I'd expect to get the same result from anyone.
