Title: Alternator Brushes
Post by: James Buchan on July 15, 2004, 11:35:01 AM
FYI - I had a set of brushes installed into my internally regulated alternator by Dundee Electric @ 207th and the Bypass in langley today for only 20 bucks. He even cleaned up everything while he was at it. Good quick service.

Update -

I went to Canadian Tire to have 2 alternators tested, after about 45 minutes of different kids trying to figure out how to do it the manager finally said sorry, our machine won't work for you starter....yes I said STARTER. I said fine and went to Dundee electric again (should have in the first place I know)

10 minutes later I knew my original starter was bad and the one I had borrowed from Hoosier was good. While I was talking to the guy about my car I mentioned I was going to tow it with my truck and that I was going to wire my lights up directly to the fuse box - the guy went out and checked everything on my truck to be sure it was tickity boo to do so - all this for free!

So long story short, use Dundee Electric at 20701 and the  Langley Bypass, small company, great service!
