Don't expect to see this one for a while. Brent and Taylor want it perfect. This means a real attention to detail. IT will be stripped back down to expose some of the previous work (vomit) and we can start from there. Brent has done me the favour of choosing black as his colour so as I stated previously, don't expect to see this one anytime soon.

actually get James to set one up for you, he has a gallery configured as well, he could also configure one just for your website.

while he is at it he could revamp your website and take out the sample flash opener and make it look really good!

Yes, Jason is right we are going to go black with a beige top. The body is fairly solid however there are some issues, the conv. support rails need to be replaced, the decklid needs some attention and the front apron. ( and the list goes on ). Once Jason blasts the car he will know what else needs to be done.

Well Russ,  I couldn't take looking at the boxes of parts and the unfinished shell any longer. I have had it for two? years now and itching to get it done.  Jason does great work and he was eager to take on the job.

I have chosen black (Jason wasn't too happy though haha) . I wanted a  colour that I could still get collector plates (if I ever decide to go that route) as well as something that looks great.  Unless someone can suggest another  really cool colour, black it will have to be. The other colour that I thought looked great was the Diamond Green but I got talked out of it.

Anyway, I am really looking forward to getting it done!

Cheers, Brent

There are enough green cars around - find a unique color, there are lots of stockish kinds of colors around that aren't your everyday things:

can i ask why you got talked out of diamond green, wrong year for your car?
i love the colour and we are debating this colour for our 55 or an early mustang colour called lime gold
see pics

i look forward to seeing the progress of your car
i know the colours look the same but i have had colours samples of each sprayed and they are different :)

That green does look awesome!  The colour decision was a \"family\"
thing and blk was the only one we could agree on!

We are hoping for the car to turn out like this :

I prefer the diamond green personally. But a black car with a perfect finish well... Only this can be said :o
Black just seems to \"played out\" In my own personal two centine opinion. Yet nobody can argue with a perfectly striaght black car(But really what panels on a beetle are actually straight?)

The curves make it almost more difficult as it really casts all the imperfections at almost every angle. But I agree with Brent and family. Black is what its gotta be.

how so,i don't think we even have a diamond green beetle local here
it all boils down to personal choice thats what building a car is all about.
my favorite colour right now is probably a tangerine or close to what james has in the copper tone.
i just don't want to go too wild right now :D

You know what I think is the new hot colour?
Similar to tangerine but its called Colarado and its a 70's bmw colour.
Do a cremesickle kind of two tone...

Example of Colarado

russ, i totally agree that it is all up to the owner of the vehicle.

imo, no one even knew that diamond green was a stock vw colour untill aaron broughton and joe maestas made it \"famous\". now everyone and their dog wants a diamond green beetle. but to each their own. i fully support owners to do what they wish with their vehicles. some'll like it and some'll wont.
