Java Hut?
« on: April 24, 2006, 06:48:23 PM »
A buddy of mine was telling me that every Saturday there is a big gathering of old Hot Rods, American Muscle and the occasional aircooled. I saw some of them this last Saturday and it looks pretty fun. Would there be any interest in making an aircooled presence there some time?

As for Java Hut I think the more entertaining evenings are fridays. But that could have changed.

You still own a beetle? I thought your family went broke and you had to sell all your toys, maybe your fat-assed boyfriend will console you.

Spoon with your club, puhleeze. Why dont you go over to Victoria and hang out with your new friends. Im sure that they would be more than happy to put you up for a while.

f@ck that poser starbucks iced crappacino bulls#!t.

dark roast double double is where it's at.  B)

i've never been to the java hut gatherings, so i'm looking forward to cruising out there and checking out some hot rods.

friday or saturday, which ever night is better, it doesnt really matter to me.

generally speaking, what time does it get going and what time does it go untill? would an all acvw cruise from airspeed to java hut be cool, or does everyone usually roll solo?

I'd like to roll with someone else since usually I'm the only one in my own car for these things. i'd also like to meet some of the "new" airspeeders that I've never met.

Back in the mid 70s, I would have called this a Cluster %uck.
It sounds like my mother and her sisters bickering at each other.

Could Someone, anybody give a black and white, strait answer here.

Where and when for both events, Just that.

This Friday and Saturday both look pretty crappy weather-wise. There does seem to be some good interest though so the following week I'll make an official Java Hut get toether. Unless of course the weather looks good for this coming weekend....

I ike to take my kids down there to see some of these great cars, meet people with similar interests and an inexpensive way to spend the evening ... but two things to note:
1) the police tend to get over-anxious with some of the people there and give out tickets for some of the sillier reasons - and,
2) I recall last year a comment from one air-cooled owner that some of the other attendees took exception to their vehicle there and scrathed the side of it ... can't substantiate it but I know that I've personally seen some bugs, ghias and type 3's there co-habitiating with the American muscle without a problem  ;) .

My girlfriends car was vandalized last year at the java hut, and we had parked towards the back so that other cars could be closer to java hut. Stupid ass hoodlums.
