What is the roughest condition VW you have found?

Check this one out:

I found one at Great Central Lake on the island many years ago (40?) I took a boat to the other end of the lake. There are no roads besides logging roads on that end. I pulled in to a spot to do some exploring. There was an old, not used, logging road that went up a steep hill. The road was washed out and really rough. There at the bottom, was a VW bus! It had been there many years. I think someone was driving the logging roads, ended up down this hill by the water and couldn't get back up. Wish I had a camera but in those days, no cell phones.
9 years and counting....

there was a barndoor samba just unearthed in Europe (Germany i believe) a few months ago.  it was literally feet from where the PO mowed and just forgot about it while it rotted away.  the new owner found it when assessing the property and the PO sold it happily.  apparently in Germany you can get fined big time if you have rotting cars.  some sort of environmental policy.

Now, 'it' is subjective.  more like 'them'.  the bus was hardly there.  the VIN and M code plates were though

the new owner is planning a sympathetic resto.  last i followed up, they itemized the pieces and propped them up to roughly resemble the shape of a bus.

This was the worst i've heard of.
