Title: IRS Jig
Post by: goldfish on October 04, 2010, 07:09:16 PM
I need to borrow or rent an IRS conversion jig, of anyone has one. I know there are some on thesamba but they are in the states and I dont want to have to pay for shipping here and back.

Jim (Coma?) had one I used to convert my swing to IRS. Don't know if he posts on here anymore. Geoff P. might be able to help track him down.

I bought a jig when I did my conversion, it's the same as the one pacific customs sells.
I could rent it out, PM me if you're interested.

I ended up buying a jig and I'm done with it now if anyone wants to borrow it.

So does the body have to come off to do the job or is there enough room to catch the top welds on the trailing arm mounts with the body there?  Something I've always wanted to do, but I don't know if I want to separate the body and chassis.

I'm not sure, if you think there is enough room between the body and the torsion to get a welder in there it might be possible. It would definitely be alot easier with the body off though.
