Looking for a working 6 volt flasher
« on: July 27, 2014, 12:15:18 AM »
Anyone have a 3 wire 6 volt turn signal flasher, anywhere near South Surrey, Langley, or walking distance from Burrard and Robson downtown?  Lordco and CT (no surprise) are no help.... although if you know where I can buy one that would help too.

I'm sure that I will find one at the GCVWs but the manual switching is getting old already and I'd rather make the drive downtown for the show with working signals.

Thanks.

Aghhh...  OK still looking for a flasher and while I'd prefer the early 60's style round aluminum one that fits in the clip, I also now have a wiring 'bridge' adapter thing set up so that I can use the 50's style bakelite ones.  Unfortunately the replacement I just picked up is DOA.

Found a source for these, nothing fancy (Bussmann USA)  not Hella, SWF or NOS VW but a direct replacement for the round aluminum ones that ground through the body of the flasher and have three tabs (+, switch, and indicator light in the dash that can be connected or not)...

Ordered a couple spares in case anyone else is in the same predicament trying to get things working.
