k8 cam
« on: September 16, 2011, 03:36:43 PM »
I want to put a cam in my 1914
Should I use a K8. I heard it's good with rockers. Also will single HD springs be adequate.
I don't care whether it's good on the freeway. I just want to go fast in short spurts around town.
Let me know

Thanks Aaron

Excellent choice!  1.4 Rockers.  Must use Dual springs or sure or you will have float. Also check for coil bind.

cheers

Nobody can give you a good answer without knowing something about the heads.  Valve sizes?  Porting?

What are your heads?
If you have stock heads, a K8 is the wrong cam.
