T-3 Front Calipers
« on: May 13, 2004, 10:41:43 PM »
Hey just wondering if anybody might know where I can find a set of late model type three front brake calipers, they only reproduce the early ones, and I'm having trouble finding a used set. I believe that Porche 914 fronts are the same, if that helps.

If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears!

I probably have a set but they have been sitting in a bin for ages. will need a rebuild if a rebiuld kit is available?? How should I tell the difference between early and late calipers?

hey thanks Matt, early calipers are a little smaller and the spacing between
the bolt holes is wider on the late ones

There is a brake rebuilder that is really good just down the hill from me, want a price from him ready to go?

I have the rotors, too. Want it all?

There's a VW 412 at the Ralphs on Mitchell Island, will its calipers be the same?

Come and get them Mike,  they are yours free, I'm sure I'll need something from you eventually. I'm usually home from work around 6:00, and I have Sundays, Mondays off. you chose.
