alt light dim

when reving the motor my alt light comes on dim , would this be my brushes?... if so, can they be adjusted or do i need new ones?, and where can i buy them ... i have the internal regulator alt.. thanx.

check for loose connections? worn belt? loose pulley?

Not a DVKK member.

Assuming your belt os all good.

If the light is fully on when you first turn on the switch.. there is good contact and ground.

If it only does it when you rev the engine, it may be the internal regulator allowing a deficit of voltage...I think,  and could also be the brushrs that you mentioned.
I would replace the Alt and save myself some time and efford but it is your call. $$$ :D

connections are good , pully/belt is good and new, alt is not that old and it's a bosch ,replaced the internal reg last year..... it's only when i rev it the light comes on very dim

take it off and get it tested, is it edmonds batteries that has the right rig for testing our alternator?

i'm gonna do the bushings first , there cheap , i'm old friends with the owners son at edmonds starters and alternators.. maybe i'll take it there.
