My turn now.  Name is Rob.

Yellow manx that we built and sold a few years back.

My 59 convertible.  Unfortunately it's been sitting in my garage the last few summers due to life being busy with 3 kids and my lovely wife..... as well as playing second fiddle to a few other projects.

My fat chick 914.  Car has 34000 original miles now after being involved in Spring Thaw 2009 & 2010.

I am Jason Hamilton. I've had Karmann Ghias since the late 80's and currently have a very patina'd stock 1969 coupe. Worked at Wilkinson's Automobilia for ten years, then AirSpeed during the last year of operation. I'm now with Best Buy Canada as a Logistics Team Lead and I design websites on the side, including AVR Import Specialties and House of Ghia, among others.

Sorry to take so long, name's Brian.  Brian Waz for my forum name. Too many beetles in my past to count, I think at one point over 30. A couple of dormobiles, Bay Westies, Vanagon Westy, and for the moment, and foreseeable future, my 52 Canadian Zwitter. I think it looked better in the pictures when I bought it a year and a half ago as I had to get all the parts inside any together for the trip home from the states.

Since then, correct tail lites, (thanks Steveo) bits and pieces, (thanks Geoff) and currently have the original motor in ziplock bags. Need to redo a few things that were done poorly by previous owner... lots of cleanup to wiring, brakes, tranny checkup, interior etc. Deadline..... none! just enjoying the time playing with it... and always appreciate the Air Speed Forum...

Greetings, I'm Rick Davis from Chilliwack.
Brenda and I discovered the air cooled world late in life but love it as much as our 30+ years of playing with Hot Rods.
We joined the AC scene in 2003 with a used 1978 Intermeccanica Speedster.  In 2006 we added a 1976 Porsche 912E w/ T4 which is all original.  In '07 we sold the '78 Speedster and our Deuce HiBoy and had Henry at IM build us a new Roadster-6 with Porsche 911 driveline.  While browsing the Samba in 2009 we found our '65 DC in Vancouver Wa. and we just love it.
We don't get out to events as much as we'd like but really enjoy driving our vehicles, a lot!
Look forward to meeting more of you soon.
Here's some pics of our roadster, coupe and pickup.

Hey B.C.: My name is Rob. I too have had way too many V.W. s' to remember. My twin brother { who is with V.W. Canada 35yrs}, and I have been building and playing with the marque for 38+ years. Couple of old double cabs with crown adapted 180 horse turbo corvair power, couple of karmann Gs', beetles in the 70s'/80s', Porsches' in the 80/90s, Syncro vanagons, (6), including tri-star double cabs, two daughters driving Golfs, Jettas', now CC and audi, wife with her lil red TT, and I finally got back in with my 63 slider a few years back. A work in progress. Love this site. No cheap shots or nasty comebacks to newbies just looking for help. Maybe see ya'll at this summer get togethers' out there. No Photo of me tonight, (up north near Tumbler Ridge at work}, but trust me..... you'd thank me. Lol

Hi all!

My names John.  Mortgage broker living in Van.  Been on the forums a while, albeit a bit quiet.  Since 1986, when my grandma went halfers with me on my first car - 66 Bug, I've been smitten.  My current ride: 62 FI Turbo 1915.  Fun stuff

Hi,

I am Christoph, 25 years young and half german half canadian. I moved to Vancouver from Germany in February of this year.
Back in the old Country I owned a 1970 BayBus and several other dubs. One of the first things I did after I sort of settled here was buying a VW.
Its a 1984  Vanagon. Pretty boring but does its work.
A few weeks ago I bought a 1966 Split Westy. That is going to be my project for the next year(s).
I am still searching for a place to work on my project.
If someone needs help with translations when it comes to any VW Stuff in german, let me know...
Since I am very new to the region I am always happy about new contacts especially about parts, body shops and what not...

Cheers

Hey,

I've been a forum member for a while now and figured I should introduce myself.  I'm one of the Calgary Type 2 Crew and have a Sept 59 'Standard and a '67 SO45 Westy.

Beautiful rides everyone! And great forum!

My name's Ethan and I'm new to the forum as I'm about to be new to Canada. I'm attempting to bring my '66 Beetle that I did a body off resto on in 2004. I don't know how to post pics yet, but here's a link to some pics of my '66.

Hi I'm Jared and here is my very first Air Cooled, a 56 Deluxe sedan, which I picked up a couple weeks ago. Was hoping to get a driver that I could work on but this project 56 was to hard to pass up, so I'm sure you find me on here asking the odd stupid question. Cheers!
