Is there a master cylinder that has two lines out saparating front and back brakes that would fit on a 1966 Type 1?
How difficult would it be to fit it in and replaced the old one?

the 67 and later master cylinder will work
looky here http://www.airspeedparts.com/catalog/produ...a8004e6a51509af
what you will need to do is
a) put a \"t\" from your resevoir
B) use a 67 only resevoir (looks the same as yours but has 2 outlets)
c) make a bracket for a late model style resevoir
d) or ive heard (but havent tried) that an early volvo resevoir will snap directly into the top of a beetle master cylinder.

Hey Egspot,
I put a different resevoir in my beetle. You need also some blue cloth covered house and the metal pipes. My Resevoir is mounted to the front beam! Cheers!
If more power is better. Then too much is just enough.
Why do it once when you can do it thrice?
