Looking for Welder in Squamish . . .
« on: August 27, 2012, 08:24:01 AM »

Hi all:

We're looking for a good welder in Squamish to do some minor (for now, ha) work on our '78 bus.  For starters, would be interested in having a repair to the passenger side seatbelt mount area. . . not a huge job, I don't think. Can send pics, but would love to have someone come but and give a quote.

Many thanks and all help greatly appreciated!!

*ahem*
Perhaps time for me to widen my search parameters. How about someone in the Greater Vancouver area or Sea to Sky corridor? And if you're looking for a bigger job, there's a good chance we could get you to weld on some replacement panels or bandaids to certain areas.
Not looking for a handout, obviously. We pay fairly for a job well done.

you could ask Dave at Cloverwest, I think he's full for the moment, but could ask if he could fit in a small job?

Usually a little more invovled than just welding. Cutting, fitting, etc. Dave (owdlvr on this site) might have a lead in Squam. If not send me some pics if you like. I'm in Coquitlam though.

I know a few welders in Squam, but none are body-man or VW experienced guys. If you want it repaired correctly restoration-style, you need to be willing to move the bus further away.

- GLI Autoworks in Chilliwack
- Geoff
- And the other suggestions above.
