Split Bus Front Disc Brake Options
« on: May 28, 2014, 11:32:32 AM »
Who has put front discs on their split bus?

From what I can gather on Samba, Wagenswest are a good choice with their Bustang or Banybustang kits. I also like the Airkewld kits.

Any experiences or options?

BTW: my bus is a 64, with non-stock 15" wheels.

Thanks for all replies.

I have 911 front brakes on my 65 Bus. I shipped WagensWest the Porsche spindles and some cores and they welded them up. Works great, and the 911 master bolted right up to the bus without mods. I Did an IRS swap too and put one of their rear disc brake kits on. (I think its an Empi kit) and stops on a dime now.

Thanks, that sounds like a good solution for keeping it in the VW family.

So far I've narrowed it down to the Wagenswest Bustang kit or the Airkewld kit. Hmmmmm
