Irs Lift
« on: January 24, 2006, 08:12:23 AM »
Just wondering the best, cheep way to lift the back of my bug a little, its a 67 with irs, looking for any cheep options that will not cause a lot of camber? The car will be mainly on the road with a little gravel road, and most likely will never be jumped.  Thanks

Crank your torsion bar up a notch or two. you may be able to put some coil over shocks on to give you a higher ride but will be alot stiffer. Ajusting yor suspension at the torsion bar is alot of work but would be the best way to go.
With the irs you will not change the camber much(  if at all ) compared to the swing axle type.
  Hope this helps.
